The Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York, under the leadership of Dr. Sterling E. Walsh, Jr., is a wonderful, growing fellowship of dear Christians who are seeking a closer walk with the Lord. They have a desire to see others come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and see them also grow in him. We would love to have you visit with us and experience the warmth of this church yourself. Every ministry of Lighthouse Baptist Church has two primary goals: to lead as many souls to Christ as we can, and to help those souls grow in the knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus Christ through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. Sundays at Lighthouse Baptist are special days. Sunday school begins at 9:45 am . There are nurseries and classes for all children, teens, and adults. Our main services at 8:30 am, 10:45 am, and 6:00 pm begin with the singing of the great hymns of the faith lead by the Lighthouse Choir and Orchestra. As always, our central focus is on spirit-led, practical preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Children are welcome in the main services, but we also offer a wonderful and exciting time in God’s Word designed just for children in our Lighthouse Kids Klub (1-6 grade), and Kinder Klub (ages 3-K5). A well-staffed nursery (ages 0-2) is also provided. Wednesday evenings are very important at Lighthouse Baptist as we grow even deeper into the Word of God. Our Wednesday’s Lighthouse Kids Klub is an exciting time in the Bible as young minds (ages 3-6th grade) are instructed by loving teachers who aid them in learning the lessons of life and in hiding the Word of God in their hearts. Children enjoy class activities earning badges along with Bible games and snacks. Our Teens enjoy Youth Ablaze , under the direction of Pastor Nathan Walsh. This is a wholesome and informative time in the Word of God along with food, fun, and fellowship. On Wednesday evenings, adults enrich their personal walk with God through Walking in the Word , an in-depth Bible study, and with a time of prayer as we take the needs of one another and those around us to the Throne of Grace. Add to these the King’s Daughters (Ladies’ Ministry), Seasoned Saints (for all those 55 years and older) which meets one Thursday a month, Reformers Unanimous Addictions Program on Friday evenings, Ladies Bible Study every Tuesday morning, Ambassadors’ Club Soul Winning Training, Bus Ministry, Choir and Orchestra, and Vacation Bible School; and you will see that our goal is to seek to meet the spiritual needs of our community. Our longing is to see others come to know Christ as Savior and experience victory in Jesus.
